My No.1 “Fearless” Is also my Favorite film of all time, to me it’s not only the greatest martial arts movie ever made, but one of the greatest movies ever made as well. It’s based upon the life of Huo Yuanjia he was a Chinese martial artist and a co-founder of the Chin Woo Athletic Association. He’s considered a hero in China for defeating foreign fighters in highly publicised matches at a time when Chinese sovereignty was being eroded by colonisation, foreign concessions and spheres of influence. He died just aged 42, from arsenic poisoning (He’s shown to be poisoned by the enemy in the movie, however arsenic poisoning is natural. So, it’s unclear to me if he died naturally or was indeed murdered) – I hope everybody has seen the movie by now, but if anyone has not, then please do!
